[Gallery] 7 May 2014: sit-in at the Court

On April 9th, 2014, judge Piero Leanza invited the Prosecution to read the latest exception on jurisdiction based on his March 19th ordinance. Many citizens stood before the Court in excitement.

On March 19th, judge Leanza confirmed with an ordinance that Trieste did not return to Italy in 1954.

Indeed, the MoU of London entrusts the Italian Government with temporary civil administration over the still independent Free Territory of Trieste. However, he justified the current simulation of Italian sovereignty claiming that it was the 1957 Treaty of Osimo to return Trieste to Italy.

Except we know that Osimo confirms (art. 7) the 1954 Memorandum of Understanding: LINK

Free Trieste calls for a new sit-in before the Court of Trieste.

On May 7th, the last defense of the simulation of Italian sovereignty over Trieste may finally fall. Hopefully, our rights of people of the Free Territory of Trieste are finally recognized!
