April 9th, 2014 is a very important date in the legal battle for the rights of the people of the Free Territory of Trieste.

The Court of Trieste is now discussing a new exception on jurisdiction.

The judge in charge of the proceeding is Mr. Piero Leanza. On March 19th he confirmed in an ordinance that the 1954 Memorandum of Understanding of London did not return Trieste to Italy. He did however claim that this happened under the 1975 Treaty of Osimo, despite it confirming (art. 7) the validity of the 1954 MoU: LINK

Free Trieste organizes a sit-in before the Court of Trieste and invites everyone to join: we may be about to hear another memorable decision!
