Trieste: fake pro-independence gang compromised with weapons and drugs. Free Trieste organizes a press conference on August 18th, and presents all documents.

Both public opinion and the press ask, since quite a while, why the original and true Free Trieste Movement, lead by President Roberto Giurastante, refuses any involvement with the expelled people who are now involved in two, related pseudo pro-independence organizations: she so-called “Gruppo Sicurezza Trieste Libera” (Free Trieste Security Group) and s.c. “Territorio Libero 3” or “TL3” as in “Cubic Free Territory” and why it refuses to participate in public demonstrations with them.

Now there are new facts, which are worsening on different levels certain reckless activities with which those two fake pro-independence gangs risk to compromise also the authentic stand for Trieste’s independence rights.

This is why Free Trieste decided to clarify the situation to the public with the highest transparency and firmness on the base of investigations and documents, for the overall sake of the people of the Free Territory of Trieste, of legality, and of the peaceful standing for one’s rights.

This is why the real Free Trieste Movement makes it clear that it refuses all contacts, cooperations, and compromise with the pseudo pro-independence groups calling themselves “Territorio Libero 3” / “TL3” and “Gruppo Sicurezza Trieste Libera”, as well as with any other group or action related to them. It is not a matter of political differences, rather, it is a decision based on the evidences that ultimately reveal that those groups and their representatives have criminal and destabilizing compromising relations.

Indeed the people who established and control the two aforementioned fake pro-independence organizations, besides committing serious crimes against the Free Trieste Movement (even abusing its name), turned out to be either compromised, previous offenders, and in some cases either formerly or presently investigated for the crimes of fraud, cocaine dealing or use, for contacts, in Trieste and abroad, with people involved in the illegal drug trade or money laundering, and illegal training with warfare arms.

A significant part of the leaders and activists of both self-proclaimed pro-independence organizations have a background, sometimes even a recent one, in the Italian nationalism and neofascism of the border area: indeed, it is an area with connections to the activities of so-called “Gladio 2” network, and they are attempting to sabotage the rights of the Free Territory and Free Port of Trieste on the international level with useless claim of former Zone B in an attempt to trigger tensions with Slovenia, with Croatia, and with the UN.

On its side, the self-proclaimed “Sicurezza Trieste Libera” acts as some kind of private militia and is showing abnormal profiles in both irrationality and violence, yet, that is inexplicably tolerated by the local authorities in charge of exercising the Free Territory’s administration, which is entrusted to the Italian Government’s responsibility. All while in investigative bureaus consider that manipulators may persuade certain members of the group to commit extremely serious actions, even in the short terms, in order to discredit the whole law-abiding struggle for the Free Territory.

Furthermore, other ongoing investigations are confirming that behind the months long, hammering local campaigns against Free Trieste – but also against the authorities who, in different roles, defend the international Free Port of Trieste – there is the purpose to divert attention from the serious questions about ties of politicians and criminal cartels in the infamous, illegal building and housing speculation project against the Northern Free Port, which is worth EUR 1.5 billion.

Free Trieste is going to clarify to public opinion all of this on Monday, August 18^th, at 11AM, holding a press conference. During the event, the Movement is showing documents concerning the military training with warfare arms which involve some of the dangerous, investigated persons. The press conference is takin place in Free Trieste’s offices, piazza della Borsa 7. Only journalists, press agents and representatives of the authorities may partecipate, upon accreditation. We are adopting the required security measures.
