Trieste, May 11th, 2014, at 9.15PM – The Free Trieste Movement (Trieste’s main political organization)’s Management board, during an extraordinary seating, expelled four of the six “founding members” (S.Ferluga, A.Ciacchi, A.Stok, A.Gombač) and a number of members who resigned from the Management board (the same S.Ferluga and A.Ciacchi, as well as V.Potenza, A.Rupel, R.Umek, M.Pizzi, C.Beorchia), for committing severe breaches of the Movement’s Statute and engaging in cyber-crimes.

Indeed, since the evening of May 10th, the former managers who resigned and are now expelled took the website, emails, and Facebook page of the Movement.

They violated the digital archive, taking the names of Free Trieste’s members, deleting the news about the summoning of the legitimate assembly on budged (on June 21st, 2014), and summoning an illegitimate assembly (on May 31st) claiming that the Management board in office has decayed.

The Free Trieste’s Management board and its President consider that some representatives of the expelled group were expected to face, during the legitimate assembly, accounting objections for amounts about EUR 60,000 dating back to their past financial administration (2013), and that the attempted “golpe” on the internet took place one hour after an internal commission concluded and presented the results of its investigations on the aforementioned loss of money.

According to the Movement’s Management board no social body “decayed” or “expired” and this attempted “golpe” merely constitutes illegitimate actions committed through serious and immediately prosecutable cybercrime against the Movement and against its members.

Actions to get back the websites have already are already in progress, and the crimes are being denounced including actions seeking the compensation of damages.
