From 2005 to 2018, Greenaction Transnational and Alpe Adria Green stood against Gas Natural. Now they have won their legal battle, saving the Gulf of Trieste.

After 15 years, Gas Naturals throws in the towel, ultimately surrendering to the impossibility to build its LNG terminal in Trieste’s international Free Port.
April 2018: Trieste hosts the Standing NATO Maritime Group 2, in charge of Mine Countermeasure. Since 1954, NATO is responsible for Trieste’s military defense.
Update: in November 2018 Gas Natural finally cancelled its Trieste LNG terminal project. This is an important victory for the environment and the rule of law.
