18 October 2021: Italian protesters block the international Free Port of the Free Territory of Trieste.
The Free Trieste Movement considers it necessary providing clear information about the illegal blockade of the international Free Port of Trieste, organized by a minority of dockers who did deceptively attract protesters from Italy.
Demonstrating is indeed a right; however, blocking the international Free Port of Trieste is a crime against the present-day Free Territory of Trieste, against its citizens, its enterprises, and the International community.
Furthermore, Trieste’s temporary civil administration is untrusted to the responsibility of the Italian Government, which does therefore have the duty to grant the free flow of traffic in the international Free Port, even with police forces if it proves necessary.
The responsibility of the economic damages and incidents that occurred in Trieste because of the illegal blockade of the international Free Port does therefore fall only on the arrogant, small group of dockers that organized it for their own interests.
