Trieste, March 3rd, 2015. – Yesterday, March 2nd, the heads of so-called group “Territorio Libero” – “TL3” – spread on the internet and sent to the media a delirious, violent, and defamatory press release claiming that the “Movimento Trieste Libera” – “Free Trieste Movement” (with which they have nothing to do) does no longer exist.
In their opinion, we should have summoned an assembly before December 31st, 2014, and they claim we committed some alleged violations of our organization’s statute, which they proficiently misquote.
Absurdly, they do also threaten with legal actions «any journalist, columnist, politician or citizen» who accredits the Free Trieste Movement as such.
Free Trieste answers and corrects this disinformation stating that its legal and administrative status are perfectly correct and true to its statute, which sets the yearly term for the assembly in June.
Furthermore, the organization reserves the right to sue the chiefs of “Territorio Libero” for their reckless aggressiveness, as it appears that their organization’s main purpose is attacking and damaging the Free Trieste Movement with brutal, defamatory attacks.
Free Trieste underlines that said furious attacks continue since past April, when the Movement raise awareness about possible collusions between local politicians and criminal organization ‘ndrangheta in the attempted speculation within the Northern Free Port.
A local group of previous offenders and people investigated for several crimes (drug-related crimes, fraud, prostitution and more) reacted trying to seize control of the Movement. They went as far as assaulting its headquarter. Finally, they started attacking Free Trieste from the outside, establishing the replica-group called “Territorio Libero” or “TL3”.
