ITALIAN REGIONAL ELECTION? NOT IN TRIESTE!

Free Trieste's No Election Day campaign.
VOTERS DECREASE. MANY PEOPLE REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE SIMULATION OF ITALIAN SOVEREIGNTY OVER THE PRESENT-DAY FREE TERRITORY OF TRIESTE.
Trieste, April 22nd, 2013. – The earliest data confirms that few people voted in Region Friuli Venezia Giulia’s latest election. About 50,52% of the voters according to the latest data. In 2008, the affluence was 72,33%. This is a net -22%.
Little less than half the voters refused to cast a ballot. In all of the Region, Trieste is the district with the lowest affluence. Italian democracy is indeed in crisis.
In Trieste, this data has also another reason: Free Trieste‘s “No Election Day” campaign.
As part of the campaign, many went at the polling stations, only to lodge a declaration explaining why Italian elections cannot take place in Trieste. (See photo below).
Trieste wants its future back. Trieste wants to be free from Italian nationalism and simulations of sovereignty.
The next step? Seeking this election’s annulment before the Regional Administrative Court for Friuli Venezia Giulia.
