Trieste, 15 September 2017. – Free Trieste held a flag-raising ceremony at San Giovanni di Duino – Štivan to begin a three days demonstrations on the border with Italy.
The Movement is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the coming into force of the Italian Peace Treaty that establishes the Free Territory of Trieste – Territorio Libero di Trieste – Svobodno Tržaško Ozemlje as a sovereign State with an international Free Port and placed under the UN Security Council’s direct protection.
