On Thursday, December 29th, at 11AM and at 11.30AM respectively, the I.P.R. F.T.T. and Free Trieste are holding two press conferences in piazza della Borsa 7. The presentations regard new initiatives about both the international Free Port and the city’s administration:
At 11.00AM: I.P.R. F.T.T. – constraints and legal actions regarding the ownership of Trieste’ Northern Free Port to the Municipality.
The International Provisional Representative of the Free Territory of Trieste – I.P.R. F.T.T. has requested the immediate registration in the Land register of the international constraints established by law over the 40 hectares of areas, storehouses, and railroads of the Northern Free Port, also referred to as the “old” port.
The Municipality of Trieste was certain to have gained full ownership over it starting on December 31st, under a rather questionable decision of the Land Registry Office.
The I.P.R. F.T.T. is getting ready to register also the ordinary and the international legal actions to obtain that questionable decree’s cancellation.
At 11.30AM: Free Trieste – seeking that the Municipalities of Trieste and of Muggia be placed under compulsory administration.
Free Trieste addressed the Italian Government through its local Commissioner. The Movement has forwarded the first requests to place the Municipalities of Trieste and of Muggia under compulsory administration.
This action is based in the illegitimacy, including under Constitutional law, the enforcement of never extended Italian electoral laws to the Free Territory. Furthermore, Italian electoral laws conflict with the Free Territory’s own legal order, based in the proportional system.
The request to place the Municipality of Trieste under compulsory administration is going to be implemented because of three additional “illicit behaviors” of the Dipiazza administration: abuse of power to persecute the poor; spending for futility in breach of the obligation to provide social assistance; exposing the Municipality to bankruptcy due to the enormous cost of the illegal acquisition of the Northern Free Port.
