Trieste, 14 December 2013. – The Free Trieste Movement condemns the antisemite statements of Andrea Zunino, leader of the “Forconi” movement in Tourin, and expresses full solidarity to all Jewish communities.
It is indeed a sham that many seek political gains not with serious ideas and hard work, rather, reviving obscene, hateful propagandas that are unworthy of a civilized society and have caused the horrors of the Shoah with the destruction of millions of lives and of a whole world of extraordinary humanity, spirituality, and culture.
By its own nature, Free Trieste is a multicultural and multi-religious organization, and opposes to all forms of racism. Its work is based on the firm defense of legality, of the rule of law, and of the human values that, since centuries, are at the heart of Trieste’s own identity as a cosmopolitan city open to all people, believes, and cultures. A true “Philadelphia of Europe”.
