March 13th, 2013: no judge wants to discuss “Question Trieste”. It is not easy ruling that the 1947 Treaty of Peace has “expired”
26 December 2012. Free Trieste opposes the expropriation procedures initiated to facilitate the construction of Gas Natural’s LNG terminal in Zaule.
On January 22nd, 2013 in Brussels the European Parliament’s Petitions Committee is reviewing three petitions against LNG terminals in the Gulf of Trieste.
Greenaction Transnational denounces that lots of waste are taken to Triste without regard for the local people’s health and wellbeing.
Due to Italy’s EU membership, the EU is directly concerned by the 1947 Treaty of Peace and the related obligations towards the Free Territory of Trieste.
5 January 2012: after Roberto Giurastante, also a Gorizia-based lawyer declares before Court that Trieste does not belong to Italy since 1947.
