Gas Natural’s LNG terminal is incompatible with the legal status of Trieste’s port: since 1947, that is a State corporation of the Free Territory of Trieste.
Due to Italy’s EU membership, the EU is directly concerned by the 1947 Treaty of Peace and the related obligations towards the Free Territory of Trieste.
