…I was before Court to oppose a request to pay a fee for raising the question of the lack of Italian jurisdiction over the Free Territory of Trieste.
Free Trieste’s campaigns on taxation do not aim at “avoiding taxes”. The people of the Free Territory of Trieste want to pay fair taxes in their own State.
On May 15th, 2013, for the first time, the Court of Trieste started evaluating the problem of jurisdiction: is it Italian jurisdiction, of Trieste’s own?
UPDATE: in December 2013 the initial 16,000 signatures for the appointment of Trieste’s Governor were sent to the United Nations by the Free Trieste Movement.
