It’s been five years. The people of Trieste are seeking the re-establishment of their right, in compliance with the 1947 Treaty of Peace with Italy, in force.
Trieste, with its international Free Port, is an independent State, the Free Territory. Since 1954, Trieste’s temporary civil administration is sub-entrusted to the Italian Government. This means, to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, not to the Italian State and its representatives (be it the President of the Italian Republic, the Parliament, the judiciary…).
Since 1954, the local nationalistic “camorra” simulates Italian sovereignty over Trieste, forcing the laws of bordering Italy for its own sake, and is now acting against the citizens who seek the re-establishment of the role of law.
Under this “camorra” the Free Territory is a land of absolute legality. The very authorities that should have enforced the Treaty and protected the people’s right show no interest. Here crimes are normal, the (legitimate) State has no power. This is no longer Austria-Hungary precious city-port.
Trieste is the best place for dirty business. It is convenient for the mafias to dispose and trade waste, for illegal housing speculations, to launder money, to traffic drugs and weapons. It is the “nationalistic camorra” to rule over it all, the same gang responsible of the international crimes against the State and the people of the Free Territory.
In this land, subjugated by Italian criminal carters, “business” is more important than law, prevailing on it. Every day. Ever since 1954. Because, for instance, the court of Trieste is under the authority of a judiciary that simulates to exercise Italian jurisdiction. In truth, as did the British-US Government, it should exercise Trieste’s own jurisdiction.
And it is also thanks to this (no little) mismatch that the Free Territory’s State Properties were taken away.
A plundering that allowed the political establishment loyal to Rome to get rich at the people of Trieste’s expenses. An outright clan, to which Rome granted impunity also thanks to the legal uncertainty forced on the administered State, turning it into a conquered land: Trieste, Italy’s last colony.
WE MUST STOP THE FREE TERRITORY’S SPOLIATION.
LET US STAND FOR LEGALITY, AND FREE TRIESTE FROM THIS MAFIA-LIKE REGIME.
