Free Trieste warns its electoral imitators

Roberto Giurastante, President of the Free Trieste Movement.

The Free Trieste Movement, based in piazza della Borsa 7 (Trieste) and led by President Roberto Giurastante (photo), notes that three strangers running for Mayor in the upcoming election are also engaging in ambiguous propagandas, making unaware voters believe that their parties represent also Free Trieste. The Movement, however, does not run for Italian elections; instead, it denies their legitimacy.

The Movement regards as deceptive the propagandas of candidates Vito Potenza and Giorgio Marchesich, who claim to support Trieste’s independence, as well as Nicola Sponza’s, who instead claims to run for autonomy in Italy.

Free Trieste confirms that those people, their parties, and their actions have nothing to do with the Movement, in truth, they are against and against its policy as well as conflicting with its local and international actions and programs. This is why Free Trieste warns them against instigating more confusion on the matter.

Finally, Free Trieste announces that its findings and instructions regarding opposition to the June [2016] municipal elections are being revealed in detail to the public soon. The Movement is going to hold a press conference and use its media.

The Movement’s policy «absolutely excludes voting both Italian political parties or imitators who present themselves as supporters of either independence or autonomy within the Italian system to gain roles by politically parasitizing the true Movement’s actual successes».
