For the first time since the re-opening of Question Trieste, a judge declared that the 1954 Memorandum of Understanding did not return Trieste to Italy.
10 February is not Italy’s day of “remembrance”. It is the anniversary of the signature of the Treaty of Peace of Paris of 1947 that makes Trieste independent.
