Trieste, 9 September 2025. – Some marginal groups of political agitators, improperly invoking the name of the Free Territory of Trieste, have convened a demonstration against Israel, the USA, NATO, and IMEC, to be held on September 15th.
The Free Trieste Movement clarifies that it has no connection whatsoever with these agitators, their attempts to deceive public opinion, and their demonstrations.
In truth, their objectives are incompatible with the legal status of the present-day Free Territory of Trieste, which has bordered Italy since 1947 and Slovenia since 1992, and of its international Free Port, which is open to all States, without discrimination.

The International Free Port of Trieste is a State corporation of the Free Territory of Trieste, open to the ships and freight of all States, without discriminations (Annex VI, art. 35; Annex VIII, arts. 5 and 16.1).
